OYA Lightning Softball

Lightning Softball is a competitive experience for girls with that "extra gear" who are looking for a challenge. The feedback from parents, coaches and players about our program this year has been tremendous. We provide professional instruction, winter training, spring training and games and a minimum of 3 tournaments for those who make the roster for summer play. Our OYA Lightning Softball Teams had a great 2018. In summer torunaments, our 8U team had a 2nd place finish and 10U had a 3rd place finish in their Summer tournaments.
We currently have teams at 8U and 10U.‚Äč

Program Details

Our program is designed specifically for good athlete’s looking to take their softball skills to the next level. Our recreational program is a great place to learn the basics and enjoy competing with friends and neighbors, and we ask that all Lightning Player participate in all rec program events.

Lightning takes training to the next level with professional instruction, training facility time and higher levels of competition. All for a fraction of the cost of many local travel softball programs.  Steven Ball, a 30 year veteran coach for travel softball, will be providing structure and direction throughout the year.  Our teams will be coached by volunteer coaches following the program that Steve recommends.
